The Wrocław Good Beer Festival (Wrocławski Festiwal Dobrego Piwa) returns to Wrocław in June 2027 for what is consistently one of the largest craft beer events in Europe. The 2026 edition ran from 19–21 June at Tarczyński Arena, and the 2027 festival is expected to follow the same mid-to-late June window. Specific dates will be confirmed on the festival’s official website at festiwaldobregopiwa.pl.

What the Festival Is

The Wrocław Good Beer Festival launched in 2011 and has grown to become the most significant craft and specialty beer event in Central Europe by attendance. Recent editions have brought together over 100 breweries from Poland and across Europe, presenting upwards of 1,000 different beers for tasting across the three-day programme. Participating breweries range from Poland’s established regional craft producers to small batch operations from Germany, the Czech Republic, Belgium, the UK, and Scandinavia.

The 2026 edition introduced a themed identity - a 1970s disco aesthetic - demonstrating the festival’s appetite for spectacle alongside the beer. Each year’s programme includes brewery talks, blind tastings, food pairings, and live music alongside the core tasting halls.

The Venue: Tarczyński Arena

The festival moved to Tarczyński Arena in recent years, with the venue’s large indoor halls allowing year-round weather resilience. The arena is located in the Pilczyce district, approximately 5 kilometres west of Wrocław’s Old Town, and is reachable by tram or bus from the city centre. A shuttle service typically operates from the city centre during festival days.

Tasting tokens are purchased at entry rather than paying per beer - a standard format at European craft beer events that helps manage queues and allows sampling across many breweries without cash handling at each stand.

Getting to Wrocław for the Festival

Wrocław is served by Copernicus Airport (WRO) with direct connections from London Stansted, Edinburgh, Dublin, Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussels, and several other European cities. It is also reachable by rail from Warsaw (approximately 3.5 hours on intercity services) and Kraków (around 3 hours).

June in Wrocław is generally warm with long daylight hours, making it one of the better months to combine the festival with time in the city. Wrocław’s Old Town - one of the most intact Baroque and Gothic city centres in Poland - is within easy walking distance of central hotels. The city’s network of dwarfs (gnomy) scattered across bridges, corners, and buildings is a quirky detail that has become part of Wrocław’s tourist identity.

Accommodation: Hotels in and around the Old Town fill quickly when the festival is announced. Booking 3–4 months in advance is advisable if you are travelling specifically for the beer festival. The Śródmieście (city centre) neighbourhood puts you within easy transport range of Tarczyński Arena.

Wrocław tours and activities can be arranged in advance if you want to complement the festival weekend with guided visits to the Old Town, the university quarter, or the Panorama of the Battle of Racławice.
